font size

A dengue fever case has been confirmed in Macao, a press release said here on Wednesday.

The release issued by the Information Bureau said the patient, who checked into a local hospital in the past week, was tested as positive for the disease on Tuesday.

The situation of the patient was stable and the origin of the infection has not been confirmed so far, said the release.

The Health Bureau urged local residents to stay alert over the sanitation and to be cautious while traveling to Southeast Asian nations, where the dengue fever cases are comparatively common.
