Colombian Vice President Francisco Santos met Wednesday with Chen Fengxiang, who headed a delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC), to discuss bilateral relations.

Chen is deputy head of the International Department of CPC Central Committee.

Santos said that his country viewed cooperation with China in all fields as being very important. He clearly indicated a desire to further strengthen the bilateral relations, and emphasized Colombia's adherence to the one-China policy.

Santos was full of praise regarding Chinese achievement in economic and social development.

The stable development of political and economic relations between Colombia and China would serve the common interests of the peoples of both countries, he added.

The CPC delegation arrived here on Tuesday.
