Chinese State Councilor arrives in Nepal

Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan arrived in Kathmandu Thursday on a three-day official visit to Nepal at the invitation of Vice-Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Kirti Nidhi Bista.

After arriving, Tang went to visit the birthplace of Lord Buddha and China Temple in Lumbini on Thursday afternoon.

When back to Kathmandu on Thursday evening, Tang will pay courtesy calls on Tulsi Giri and Bista, vice chairmen of the Council of Ministers, or cabinet.

Tang will meet with Nepali King Gyanendra on Friday.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Ramesh Nath Pandey will also pay a courtesy call on Tang.
