Chinese journalist delegation visits Myanmar

Myanmar Information Minister Brigadier-General Kyaw Hsan met with a visiting Chinese journalist delegation in Yangon Wednesday afternoon shortly after its arrival here.

At the invitation of the Myanmar ministry, the six-member Chinese journalist delegation, led by Shao Huaze, chairman of the All China Journalists Association, will tour some historical sites of the country's ancient city of Bagan and the second largest city of Mandalay.

The delegation will also call the office of the state-run newspaper New Light of Myanmar, and visit the major industrial zone of Hlaingtharyar in Yangon during the six-day trip to the country under a cultural exchange program between the two countries.

The Chinese delegation will proceed to Nepal after Myanmar visit.
