Chinese state councilor's visit to strengthen bilateral ties: Nepali experts

Some Nepali foreign affairs experts said here Wednesday the visit of China's State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan will be significant from political and economic perspectives, leading Nepali newspaper The Rising Nepal reported Thursday.

China's State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan will arrive in Kathmandu on Thursday for a three-day official visit to Nepal.

Former Nepali ambassador to China Rajeswor Acharya said Tang Jiaxuan's visit to Nepal would be a milestone in strengthening bilateral relations and expanding economic cooperation.

The visit would have positive impact on Nepal's economic sector and should be taken as a regular process between the two friendly neighbors, Acharya noted.

Expert on Chinese affairs Govinda Bhatta also said the Chinese state councilor's visit will help Nepal in its economic progress.

Former diplomat Mohan Prasad Lohani said that the visit would strengthen ties between the two friendly nations.
