China will produce a total of 98 million computers this year and some 58 million of them will be exported, according to estimates by Ministry of Information Industry.
Statistics show notebooks are increasingly popular. China made 80.8 million computers in 2005 with 45.6 million of them notebooks, 18.15 million more than that in 2004. Laptops made up 56.5% of all computers.
