British government organization of trade and investment recently held a seminar in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, to attract more local companies to invest in Britain.
John David Dennis, minister of the British embassy to China, gave an introduction on Britain's investment environment at the seminar, and listed some specific services for companies of Chongqing to invest in Britain.
Britain is ready to increase economic and trade cooperation with Chongqing, he noted.
Officials with Chongqing's local government said a series of favorable policies have been made to encourage local companies to make investment in Britain.
The British government organization of trade and investment, aimed at supporting overseas enterprises seeking to set up or expand business in Britain, has launched its service of attracting investment from southwest China since 2004.
