font size

Head of the Jordanian Chamber of Commerce Hayder Murad voiced hope on Saturday to enhance economic ties with China.

Murad made the statement during a meeting with officials of the Chinese Embassy in Amman.

The senior Jordanian official also highly praised the "strong relations" between Jordan and China developed with the support of the leaderships of both countries in the last three decades, stressing the necessity of strengthening bilateral economic ties.

Murad also called upon Chinese businessmen to invest more in Jordan.

China is an important trading partner with Jordan. In 2004, the Jordanian imports from China reached 955 million U.S. dollars while exports to China amounted to 39 million.
