Violent protest staged in France
font size

Large crowds took to the streets of Paris on Saturday to protest against the controversial "new job contract," CNN reported

Students, union workers and people from other sectors joined the protest.

The protest turned violent as students set cars on fire and police moved in to stop the protest and clashed with the protesters.

But the government maintained that the new job contract will make the job market more flexible.
