Political woes to affect Bangkok International Motor Show: organizers
font size

Uncertainty created by the current political turmoil is likely to dampen sales at the Bangkok International Motor Show later this month, said the trade fair organizers.

The motor show, which is scheduled to last from March 24 to April 2, is expected to draw up to 1.7 million visitors.

Organizer Prachin Iamlumnao, head of Grand Prix International Co. Ltd., was quoted by the Thai news Agency on Sunday as saying that his company had set a target of about 20 billion baht in sales for the show, but this was likely to be affected by the current air of uncertainty.

People who intend to buy cars may postpone their decision, he said.

Organized under the theme of 'Natural Energy, Future Energy', the 27th Bangkok International Motor Show will be held at Bitec Exhibition Centre.

More than 130 car manufacturers and related industries are expected to take part. Several concept cars with innovative technology will also be on display.
