Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan vowed in Beijing Sunday that China will boost and further open its service sector in the next five years.

Zeng made the remark in his meeting with the U.S. FedEx chairman, president and CEO Frederick Smith.

Zeng said the development of China's service sector offers new opportunity to the modern service business, adding that as one of the world's largest logistics companies, the FedEx business in China has progressed well in the recent years.

"I hope the FedEx could further expand cooperation with China and better serve the Chinese people and help promote the logistics industry in China", Zeng noted.

Smith briefed Zeng on FedEx's future plan and arrangement for its China business.
