font size

Singapore on Sunday reiterated that it will help Russia develop special economic zones (SEZs) in an advisory role.

This was conveyed by Singapore's Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew to the visiting Russian Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref on Sunday, according to Channel NewsAsia reports.

Despite the challenges of distance, language and differences in culture, Singapore is prepared to assist in an advisory role and share its experiences in these areas, Lee told the Russian minister, who is in Singapore for a two-day visit.

Singapore and Russia have in recent years started to strengthen their bilateral ties, especially broaden cooperation in the areas of oil and chemicals, transportation, banking, trade and investment.
