Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Monday thanked foreign experts and entrepreneurs for their long-term interest and support of China's development.
Wen expressed appreciation to the foreign participants to the China Development Forum 2006, which was held from Sunday to Monday with a theme of "China: Promoting Economic Development and Social Harmony."
He also shared opinions with the foreign guests on China's economic reform and issues concerning China's economic and social development.
The two-day forum, which had been held by the Development Research Center of the State Council annually since 2000, attracted senior officials from international organizations, entrepreneurs from well-known multinational companies and distinguished scholars.
Over the past two days, foreign participants exchanged views with Chinese officials, company leaders and scholars on a series of topics including China's 11th Five-Year Plan, educational reform and development, the development of rural and urban areas, labor market and social security network.
