Brazilian vice president arrives in Beijing

Brazilian Vice President Jose Alencar arrived in Beijing Wednesday from China's financial hub Shanghai to continue his official visit to China.

During his stay in Beijing, Chinese President Hu Jintao, top legislator Wu Bangguo and Vice President Zeng Qinghong are expected to hold meetings and talks with Alencar.

Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi will co-chair with Alencar the first session of the China-Brazil High-level Committee on Consultation and Cooperation to be held in Beijing.

Alencar arrived in Shanghai on Sunday and visited the metropolis before flying to China's capital.
