Maltese president visits Chinese culture center
font size

Maltese President Edward Fenech Adami visited on Thursday a Chinese culture center in Valetta, praising the contributions made by the facility in promoting bilateral friendship and exchanges, according to reports reaching here.

Adami, at the invitation of Chinese Ambassador to Malta Liu Zhengxiu, toured a Chinese kite exhibition at the culture center, and was extremely impressed by their state-of-the-art craftsmanship and design.

Adami said the culture center, which opened two years ago, had become a bridge in terms of cultural exchanges between Malta and China, and served as a window for the Maltese to gain knowledge about China.

The president also showed great interest in the center's Chinese language training programs in Malta, saying that he hoped more and more Maltese would be able to speak Chinese.
