China to issue 40 billion yuan worth of beaers' T-bonds next monthChina on Thursday decided to issue 40 billion yuan (5 billion U.S. dollars) worth of bearers' treasury bonds in April. The T-bonds, the second batch of its kind issued this year, have terms of maturity of three or five years, said the ministry. The bonds carry an annual interest rate of 3.14 percent for 28 billion yuan worth of T-bonds with terms of maturity of three years and 3.49 percent for 12 billion yuan worth of T-bonds with terms of maturity of five years, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement. The issue of the T-bonds, whose interest will be calculated from the date of issue, or April, will be completed by April 30, said the ministry. The ministry said the T-bonds are available to investors at outlets of the country's four State-owned commercial Banks, including the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and the Bank of China, and some share-holding or city banks.
