Beijing reception marks Bangladeshi independence and national day

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Beijing held a reception on Monday, marking the 35th anniversary of the Independence and National Day of Bangladesh.

Bangladeshi Ambassador to China Ashfaqur Rahman addressed the reception.

Assistant Foreign Minister of China Cui Tiankai attended the reception,together with some 600 Chinese and Bangladeshi officials and scholars as well as diplomatic envoys of various countries in China and representatives from international organizations.

China and Bangladesh have seen smooth development of bilateral relations since the two countries forged diplomatic ties in October 1975.
