Egypt's Moussa re-elected AL chief

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh said here Tuesday that incumbent Arab League (AL) Secretary- General Amr Moussa was elected during the ongoing 18th Arab summit the chief of the pan-Arab forum for a second term.

The annual summit kicked off in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum earlier in the day.

Moussa's current term will expire on May 16 this year.

The 73-year-old former Egyptian foreign minister was first elected in 2001 as the sixth secretary-general of the AL.
