Trade fair on Pan Pearl River delta region set for SW China
font size

The third trade fair on economic cooperation of the Pan Pearl River delta region will be held from June 6 to 10 in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan Province.

An official with the provincial government said that the trade fair, which coincides with the 14th Kunming import and export commodities fair, will provide 828 booths for the traders.

The annual event aims to link the delta region with the ten countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The former two fairs were hosted by Guangdong and Sichuan provinces.

The Pan Pearl River delta region encompasses Hong Kong, Macao and other nine mainland provinces and autonomous regions including Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan, accounting for one fifth of the country's total territory, and one third of China's whole population.
