Prices of wooden floor, disposable chopsticks same as before in Beijing
font size

Prices of wooden floor and disposable chopsticks remained the same as before on Saturday, the first day of consumption tax adjustment.

In a Jiasan dumpling restaurant near Beijing west railway station, consumers were still using wooden disposable chopsticks as usual. The owner of the restaurant said she heard of the new policy, but still waiting for more details about further changes from her boss.

A customer surnamed Wang said, "Even if the price of the meal rises, we have to eat everyday. So we will not consider any cost increase of chopsticks."

The sales of wooden floor in Beijing are now in a low season. A salesman said the price increase will happen on April 3. "So today and tomorrow, we will still use the current price."
