Malaysia has achieved a total sales value of 231.84 million ringgit (62.66 million U.S. dollars) on its trade and investment mission to West Asia, said a report available on Tuesday
Of the total amount, actual sales amounted to 21.331 million ringgit (5.76 million U.S. dollars ) and potential sales reached 210.51 million ringgit (56.89 million U.S. dollars), said the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade), which is the trade promotion arm of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).
Last month, International Trade and Industry Minister Rafidah Aziz led a trade and investment mission to Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, accompanied by about 300 Malaysian businessmen.
During the 10-day trade promotion trip, Malaysian companies carried out 1,175 business matching activities with their west Asian partners, said the Matrade.
