The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) has built up the largest place for holding military drills in Asia, according to military sources.

The training ground is operated by the Beijing Area Command of the PLA.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Army has reformed its way of training by putting the troops in real-war circumstances.

A well-equipped armored division has played the role of the "Blue Army" which combats the "Red Army" troops through the use of highly sophisticated electronic equipment.

The area command has developed a kind of a laser war simulating control system.
