NPC vice-chairman meets delegation of U.S. Business Software Alliance

Cheng Siwei, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, met with a delegation of the Business Software Alliance of the United States on Thursday.

Main topics include the Sino-U.S. economic and trade relations and cooperation on software and protection of intellectual property right.

The delegation, led by Robert Holleyman, president of the alliance, made the visit at the invitation of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

The Business Software Alliance has 27 member companies, which are all world-famous software and information technology companies.

On April 4 and 5, the delegation met with officials from ministries in charge of copyrights, commerce, and technology and the State Development and Reform Commission.
