Following the issuance of the nation's first CQC quality certificate by China Quality Certification Centre to TCL, TV products of some 60 models manufactured by well-known domestic TV makers such as Hisense and Haier have also been awarded with the quality certificate.

Consumers can choose HDTV (High Definition TV) from this quality certificate.

Li Huailin, director with CQC noted that although HDTV products have been available in the market for long, some products still have not met certain standards due to the lack of criterion and market regulation. Ministry of Information Technology released a 25-article trade standard on Mar. 31. With an aim to help consumers choose HDTV and accelerate the implementation of trade standard for digital TV products, CQC issued the quality certificate for HDTV.
