A senior official of the ruling Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) has criticized the West for interfering into other countries' internal affairs for ulterior motives.
Western powers wanted to interfere in the internal affairs of countries that had natural resources so that they could illegally exploit them, ZANU-PF secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa was quoted by Monday's Herald as saying.
He said ZANU-PF had strong bonds with ruling parties in Namibia, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania and South Africa, and such ties should continue in order to safeguard the gains of the liberation struggle.
He said relations between Zimbabwe and other neighboring countries are healthy despite efforts by Britain and the United States to break them.
