Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday Iran would "join the world club of nuclear technology soon", the state television reported.
"Iran will soon join the club of countries that have nuclear technology," the president told a gathering at Iran's northeastern city of Mashhad.
Ahmadinejad promised on Monday night to reveal "good news" over Iran's nuclear program on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Iran's former president and chairman of the powerful State Expediency Council Hashemi Rafsanjani disclosed that Iran had successfully resumed uranium enrichment from a unit of 164 centrifuges.
Rafsanjani made the statement to the Kuwait News Agency before his planned visit to Kuwait.
