Chinese delegation in Samoa to explore its tourism sector

A delegation of 29 Chinese business people, including officials for tourism, is in Samoa for three days.

According to reports reaching here Thursday from Apia, capital of the South Pacific nation, the delegation is exploring what Samoa has to offer in its tourism sector.

A delegation official said after the visit in Samoa that they will return and tell Chinese tourists that Samoa is definitely a very beautiful country, which has a pretty landscape and its people are very warm and hospitable.

The delegation has met with the airline industry, hotel operators and other business officials in Samoa's private sector to discuss various issues.

The group is visiting the island of Savaii Thursday before returning home.
