Senior CPC official meets German guests

Liu Qi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met Thursday in Beijing with visiting chairman of German Alliance 90/The Greens Reinhard Buetikofer and his entourage.

Liu, also secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, exchanged views with German guest on Sino-German and Sino-European ties and issues of common concern.

The West German Greens merged with Alliance 90 in East Germany in January 1993 and formed the Alliance 90/The Greens.
