NPC vice-chairwoman leaves for Laos

Gu Xiulian, vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, left Kunming Thursday for a visit to Laos as guest of Onechanh Thammavong, president of the Lao Women's Federation.

Gu is also president of the All-China Women's Federation.
