NPC vice chairman meets Ecuadorian congress delegation

Lu Yongxiang, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), met with a delegation from the Ecuadorian National Congress in Beijing Friday.

Lu briefed the delegation on China's social and economic development.

The delegation, led by Alfredo Serrano Valladares, president of the department in charge of international and defence affairs of the National Congress, pays the visit from April 8 to 17.

The delegation had visited Qingdao, a coastal city in east China's Shandong Province, and Xi'an, a time-honored city in northwest China' Shaanxi Provice.

After the tour in Beijing, the delegation will visit Shanghai, China's financial hub.
