Georgian president concluds visit to China

Georgian President Mikeheil Saakashvili concluded his state visit to China on Friday and left Shanghai, the last leg of the trip.

Saakashvili started the visit from April 10 as guest of his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao.

During his stay in Beijing, Saakashvili met Hu Jintao, top legislator Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao.

The two countries issued a joint statement on Wednesday, vowing to further friendship and cooperation.
