Forum advocates eliminating trade barriers across the Straits

The participants at the Cross-Straits Economic and Trade Forum called for efforts to eliminate various economic and trade barriers across the Straits.

They advocated the mainland and Taiwan discuss the economic cooperation mechanism and extend and deepen the economic exchanges and cooperation to promote the relations across the Straits and achieve common prosperity.

The two-day forum ended Saturday at Beijing and the participants provided advice on the development of the cross-Straits relations in the future.

The forum focused on cross-Straits trade and economic affairs and establishing direct transportation links between the mainland and Taiwan Province.
