New Zealand's detectives are searching for two men, who were seen appearing at the scene where the body of Chinese student Wan Biao was found, Aukland Detective Inspector Bernie Hollewand said Sunday.
The body of Wan Biao, a 19-year-old student from China's Zhejiang province, was found in a suitcase floating near the Aukland's Waitemata Harbor Friday. Police said he died of multiple injuries.
Hollewand said the two men wanted were seen leaving Westhaven Marina entrance, meters from the place where Wan Biao's body was found, at about 8:30 a.m. (2030 GMT Thursday) on Friday.
But he indicated there is no evidence yet proving the two men were involved in the case. Police are focusing on how the body was folded into the suitcase and carried to the Harbor, the inspector said.
Police have found Wan Biao's car and are enquiring his friends and flatmates.
Wan arrived in Auckland last August and had been studying English there. Hollewand said he had no criminal records and was not found having obvious links with gang groups.
