Singapore's non-oil exports up 17 percent in MarchSingapore's non-oil domestic exports (NODX) sustained a robust growth of 17 percent to 15.01 billion Singapore dollars (about 9.34 billion U.S. dollars) in March 2006 as compared with the same month of last year. According to the figures released by the International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore) on Monday, the exports of electronic products rose by 16 percent in March over the previous year, while the exports of non-electronic products grew by 17 percent in the same month. The NODX to China sustained a double-digit growth of 16 percent in March and the NODX to the United States and the European Union increased by 15 percent and 5.5 percent respectively in the same month. Singapore's total trade rose by 16 percent to reach 69 billion Singapore dollars (about 43 billion U.S. dollars) in March, bringing the first three months' total trade to 192 billion Singapore dollars (about 119 billion U.S. dollars).
