Wang Gang, a senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official met with a delegation of the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP) led by National Chairman Aihaji U. N. S. Jah. Wednesday

Wang, an alternative member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said that the CPC and the SLPP, as both parties in power in their respective countries, shoulder the responsibility of maintaining social stability, promoting economic growth and improving the living standards of their people, so the two parties should enhance cooperation, and exchange views on issues of common concern and experience in the nation and party building.

Wang, who is also director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, said the CPC is ready to further deepen its friendly cooperation with the SLPP, on the basis of independence, full equality, mutual respect and non-interference in each other's internal affairs.

He also briefed the guests on China's economic and social development.
