Pakistan and China's Hong Kong will play the inaugural match of the 7th Asian Cup Baseball Championship at at Pindi stadium Rawalpindi on Thursday, local media reported on Wednesday.

President of Pakistan Federation Baseball(PFB) Shaukat Javed said that four teams including China's Hong Kong, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Pakistan were confirmed for the event while Iran was also expected.

This event will see the teams qualifying for the Asian Games scheduled in Qatar in December this year.
