Aircraft imports create more jobs
font size

US aircraft giant Boeing predicts China's robust growth will create more jobs for Americans.

George Liu, Boeing China's vice-president of communications, told China Daily that Americans will continuously "benefit from golden job opportunities for the next 20 years at least" as the aerospace giant is determined to keep its dominant role in China's commercial fleet.

"China is and will be Boeing's most important and largest overseas market for years to come. This will create more quality jobs for American design engineers, test pilots and assembly line workers," said Liu. "China accounted for 12 per cent of Boeing's global sales last year, and the rate will keep growing."

Not to mention its numerous partners, Boeing Commercial Airplanes itself employs over 51,000 Americans. "China's robust demand will create more jobs and employment opportunities."
