Intel unveils vPro technology

Intel Corp announced in Beijing on Tuesday to unveil the vPro technology simultaneously with other regions in the world. Intel officials said the technology not only revolutionizes security and manageability of PC, but also improves the performance and energy efficiency of PC.

"Like Intel Centrino mobile technology and Intel Viiv technology, Intel vPro technology will bring together world-class innovations throughout the processor, chipsets, networking and software," said William A. Swope, Intel vice president and director of Digital Enterprise Brand Management.

Intel vPro technology is designed to enable businesses to shift valuable time and resources from management and security tasks in order to focus on what really matters-business improvement and innovation. With breakthrough in remote manageability, improved security, and energy-efficient performance, the technology greatly lowers maintenance cost, enhances the manageability and virus-resistant ability of PC.

The vPro technology has received attention and support from the world. Symantec announced on Tuesday the cooperation with Intel in security solutions. Many a world-renowned enterprises including Adobe, Altirs, Cisco, Microsoft and Lenovo will launch new software and solutions that match the technology.

PCs based on vPro technology will be launched in the latter half of the year globally.
