font size

Wang Gang, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met in Beijing Wednesday with a delegation from the National Party of New Zealand headed by party chief Don Brash.

Wang, an alternate member of the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, hailed the China-New Zealand relations.

He said the two countries had enhanced political ties, trade and economic cooperation, expanded people-to-people exchanges and increased dialogue and coordination on regional and international issues.

Wang said the CPC hoped to enhance exchanges with the National Party in a bid to promote China-New Zealand ties.

The National Party is an opposition party in New Zealand.
