Ronaldo de Assis, known as Ronaldinho, told Wednesday's O Estado de Sao Paulo newspaper that he was focused on helping Brazil win another World Cup trophy in Germany rather than the honor of world best player.
"I am not thinking about it, to be honest," said the soccer star, who has been reckoned the favorite to win the world best player trophy. "I don't think about being the best... The only thing in my mind is going to Germany and helping Brazil be the champion."
He also said that he is not that interested in scoring goals.
"What I concerns most is to pass the ball well. If I have a chance to make that pass, to score and to shake off my markers in one game, that is the perfect game for me."
The secret of his great play on field is that he really enjoys playing football, he said.
"Passion is what motivates me. I only have to look at a ball and I want to play. As long as I have that joy and passion for the game, I will enjoy football."
He added that he wants to spend many more years at Barcelona FC, where he now plays.
"I am not thinking of returning to Brazil, at least for now," Ronaldinho said.
