Large-scale ASEAN tour to be held to mark China-ASEAN friendshipChina's major non-governmental organizations will hold a large-scale tour to members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in October in a bid to promote understanding between peoples of China and ASEAN. The tour, namely "China-ASEAN Friendship Tour", will be joined by Chinese photographers and artists, according to a press briefing held here Wednesday. A motorcade will start from Beijing, and enter Vietnam via south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Then, it will visit other ASEAN countries such as Laos, Myanmar and Singapore. Chen Haosu, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), said the tour is one of the important activities to mark the 15th anniversary of building a mechanism of dialogue between China and the ASEAN.
