Senegalese Prime Minister Macky Sall Thursday expressed his hope for enhanced cooperation between his country and east China's Zhejiang province in agricultural products and paper producing.
Sall, also deputy secretary-general of the Senegalese Democratic Party (SDP), is heading a SDP delegation on a China trip. They visited Ningbo, a coastal city of Zhejiang province, on Thursday.
During his meeting with senior officials of Ningbo, Sall said Senegal's Dakar port and the port of Ningbo have many similarities, expressing his hope that the two ports can forge good partnership.
A senior official of Ningbo said the trade cooperation between the city and Senegal develops rapidly in recent years. He believes the two sides enjoy bright future of their trade and economic cooperation.
The delegation also visited a clothing manufacturer of the city and some scenery spots.
Sall and his delegation arrived in Beijing on Sunday on a nine-day visit to China at the invitation of the Communist Party of China. Besides Beijing and Ningbo, they will also visit China's economic hub Shanghai.
