Panama will host an investment meeting which will attract 200 business people from Europe and Latin America, said Eurocentro, one of the initiators, in a statement on Thursday.

The key topics due to be discussed include port management, security of commercial links, identifying potential business partners and development of port and maritime industries. The latter one is an important issue for Panama which is home to the Panama Canal.

The meeting will also cover the topics on technology transfer programs and the advantages of joint ventures.

Panama is attractive to investors due to its important geographic location. Eurocentro, a company created by European businessman and governments, is seeking new business opportunities there.
