The Shenyang International Horticulture Exposition which is expected to attract 10 million visitors opened its six-month run on Sunday in this northeast capital of Liaoning Province.
The Macao pavilion, covering an area of 880 square meters, was one of the exhibits that was also officially opened Sunday with a ceremony attended by officials with the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau of Macao, and 10 Macao students studying in Jilin University.
The Macao pavilion is comprised of two gardens. One features European style and the other in traditional Chinese style gardening techniques.
Macao hopes to promote its tourism industry at the horticultural exposition, said staff with the Macao pavilion.
This is the second time China has held the world-class gathering for horticulture. Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, hosted a similar event in 1999.
