Indonesia's foreign tourist arrival down in Q1
font size

The number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in the first quarter decreased significantly by 13.13 percent to 871,800, compared to the same period last year, the Central Bureau of Statistic (BPS) announced here on Monday.

Terrorism was still a threat for those to travel to Indonesia, according to the bureau.

Indonesia's tourist industry was first hit by the financial crisis in Southeastern Asia in 1997 and then by terrorist explosions ever since in Bali and Jakarta.
