Indonesia posted 0.04 percent inflation rate in April, the Central Bureau of Statistic (BPS) announced on Monday.
Head of BPS Choirul Maksum said that the rise was driven by the increase in the sector of goods and services, including, the groups of processed food, drink, cigarette and tobacco by 0.43 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.42 percent, clothing by 0.43 percent, health by 0.58 percent, education, recreation and sport by 0.09 percent, transport, and communication and finance services by 0.07 percent.
But he cited that the group of unprocessed foods decreased by 0. 85 percent.
Maksum said that year-on-year inflation (April 2006 to April 2005) was 15.40 percent and the cumulative inflation by April 2006 was 2.03 percent.
