font size

Some 2,000 Macao workers launched a demonstration against illegal employment on Monday.

The protesters also called for the cut of the number of imported laborers.

Three male and one female protesters, allegedly having assaulting the police personnel, were detained and will possibly to be transferred to the Public Prosecution on Tuesday.

The police said the demonstrators violated the permitted route and forcefully breached the police guard lines for three times, causing minor injuries of a number of police personnel.

The hospitalized police personnel were in stable conditions, the police said.
