Two Palestinian security soldiers were killed and another was seriously injured in a big explosion east of the Jabaliya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip on Tuesday, Palestinian security sources and medics said.

The sources said that Khaled Fanouna and Tamer al-Masharawi, two members of the Palestinian security forces, were killed and another security member was seriously wounded in the blast.

The sources said that the explosion was caused by an Israeli artillery shell.

The Israeli side said that it was checking into the report.
