Fire burning timber market in Shanghai, casulaties remain unknown

A fire broke out at a timber market at Huaxiang Road in downtown Shanghai Thursday noon and it hasn't been put out till 6 p.m. Casualties are still unkown.

The timber market has an area of about 20,000 square meters and strong smokes are still hanging above the place.

Local police and firemen have rushed to the scene to control the fire.

The areas along the Huaxiang Road are a distributing center of timbers.

It is yet to know what started the fire.
