NPC vice-chairman leaves for 114th general conference of inter-parliamentary

Cheng Siwei, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), left Beijing Friday night for Nairobi to attend the 114th general conference of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

Cheng headed an NPC delegation to attend the conference which will be held in Nairobi, capital of Kenya, from May 7 to 12.

After the conference, Cheng and his delegation will visit Gabon at the invitation of Guy Nzouba Ndama, president of the National Assembly of Gabon.
